Islamic Studies International Institute focuses on educational programs, propagation: Kahrizi

Introducing the International Institute of Islamic Studies, Hojat al-Islam Kahrizi stated, “This institution operates under the supervision of Qom Seminary, whose activities are mostly international. In this institution, educational programs are held for students at the third and fourth levels of seminaries.”

ABWA Official Website – On the sidelines of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, ABNA reporter interviewed Hojat al-Islam Kahrizi, in charge of the booth of the “International Institute of Islamic Studies”.

In the introduction of the International Institute of Islamic Studies, Hojat al-Islam Kahrizi stated, “This institution operates under the supervision of Qom Seminary, whose activities are mostly international. In this institution, educational programs are held for students at the third and fourth levels of seminaries.”

The exhibitor of the booth of the “International Institute of Islamic Studies” stated, “In addition to educational programs, the International Institute of Islamic Studies has also focused on the international propagation of Islam, and those clergy of the institution who reach an acceptable level in terms of mastery of foreign languages and scientific ability, will be dispatched by the institution for short-term and long-term propagational journeys, if the destination is available. The educational activity of the International Institute of Islamic Studies has not prevented it from paying attention to missionary activities.”

About the activities of the International Institute of Islamic Studies, Kahrizi stated, “Among the activities of this institution is dispatching lecturers and missionaries to the Shiite communities of different countries, especially in East Africa, including Tanzania and Kenya. Also, students who publish articles and participate in seminars are financially and spiritually supported by the institute. Holding courses to familiarize foreign audiences with the Islamic Republic is another activity of the International Institute of Islamic Studies. Also, the institute authors books, and organizes courses according to these books in different countries.”

“The activities of this institution are conducted centrally in English,” Hojat al-Islam Kahrizi, in charge of the booth of the “International Institute of Islamic Studies” added, “The applicant to participate in training courses of the institution are required to have a certain level of English proficiency. The institute’s books have also been translated into various languages, including Urdu and Arabic. The activities of the International Institute of Islamic Studies began about 13 years ago. Among the most prominent books of the institute are “Islamic Belief System” and “The Program of Islam for Life”.”

“Information about holding this exhibition has not been suitable. There was a high capacity to inform about the holding of this exhibition in the media and social networks. The reception of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition was not appropriate. Nevertheless, the exhibition has been well organized in the executive affairs,” he commented in the end regarding the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition.

It should be mentioned that on the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the exhibition of the achievements of institutions and organizations active in the international propagation of Islam, entitled “Lights of Guidance” is being held from Saturday, December 31, 2022, until January Thursday 5, 2023, in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary.      

It is also worth noting that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was established on December 31, 1990, with the aim of gathering Shiites, establishing relationships within the Shiite world, promoting Shiites seminaries, solving the problems of Shiites with other Islamic Denominations, and benefiting from real and legal capabilities of Shiites.

The Assembly was established by the order of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on December 25, 1990, with the aim of introducing the revolutionary foundations, and thought of the Islamic system of Iran to Shiites all over the world. /345/

The Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly  is an international non-governmental organization (INGO) that was established by a group of Shiite elites under the supervision of the great Islamic authority of the Shiites in 1990 to identify, organize, educate and support the followers of Ahl al-Bayt.
