This book is a study about whether greetings to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) is a part of the customary Salawat among Muslims to the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) or not.

The ruling view of this work states that according to the consensus of the hadiths that express the quality of Salawat to the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), and also according to the testimony of many Sunni ulama, Salawat to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) is a necessary part of Salawat, and not recommended part.

According to the author, what caused this necessary part of Salawat to be removed was the strictness of the Umayyads in practicing this heresy, and the obedience of the people due to fear.

This work includes the study of sixteen hadiths on the quality of Salawat, identification of “آل” (“Aal” the progeny, the family, the house of) from the point of view of Shiite and Sunni with reference to prophetic hadiths, the history of the legislation of Salawat and the view of the five jurisprudential schools of Islam on it, criticism of the reasons of those who believe that Salawat is incomplete (without greetings to AhlulBayt (a.s.),) and in the end, a reflection on the legitimacy of adding “و سلم” (Wa Sallam) to the end of Salawat.

The book “Excerpts from Incomplete Salawat” by Sayed Muhammad Hashem al-Madani, was translated into Turkish by Eslam Ürkan, and published by AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly Publication House in medium octavo size.
