Al-Daqaq: Taking care of Islamic Ummah's affairs is characteristic of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky

The representative of Ayatollah Isa Qassim in Iran delivered a speech on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the fifth anniversary of the oppressed martyrs of Zaria, in Qom.

Hujat al-Islam Abdullah al-Daqaq said that Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky is one of the prominent missionaries. When he returned to Nigeria, no one followed the Ahlulbayt (a.s.) in that country. The official number of followers of the Ahlulbayt (a.s.) in Nigeria is now seven million and researchers estimate that is 15 million.

"Another characteristic of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, is his power in affairs management. He was able to manage the Islamic Movement of Nigeria well, which is a lesson for the missionaries," he added.

"Taking care of the affairs of the Islamic Ummah is another characteristic of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky. He is not only concerned with the Nigerian people, but also with the Islamic Ummah. Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky followed the events in Bahrain while he was in prison. He called me after the siege of the house of Ayatollah Isa Qassim and asked me about the condition of Ayatollah Isa Qassim," he said.

Hujat al-Islam al-Daqaq said that Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky is a prominent figure in the school of moderation, and the actions of the Nigerian government against him are surprising. The Nigerian government should reconsider its policy towards Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky and The continued imprisonment of this prominent figure is exacerbating the crisis in Nigeria and the region.

It is worth mentioning that on December 13, 2015 when Shiites were mourning Imam Hussain (a.s.) in a Husseiniyah in the city of Zaria in Nigeria, the country's military forces with a previous plan to destroy Shiite Islam in Nigeria raided to the Husseiniyah of Zaria and home of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria and killed more than a thousand Shiites and a number of members of the family of Sheikh Zakzaky and severely injured the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria and his wife and they were taken to prison.
