ABWA’s Secretary General has initiated new approaches to create a favorable change in the Assembly: Araqi told ABNA

A member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Transformation must be appropriate to new conditions and needs, and it can successfully reach us to the objectives if we have a precise analysis of the region, the world, and the current capacities of Shiite societies.”

ABWA Official Website – In an interview with ABNA News Agency on the sidelines of the 192nd expanded session of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, which was held in Iraq, a member of the Supreme Council of the Assembly expressed, “Holding the session of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in Iraq is a great opportunity for Iranian and non-Iranian members to discuss and exchange opinions on the latest developments in the Islamic world and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers and share their views and opinions.”

On the topics discussed in this session, Ayatollah Mahmoud Mohammadi Araqi stated, “This session, which is held twice a year according to the statute of AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, is to exchange information and consult on the programs that are on the agenda of the Assembly. In the session, good reports were presented by participants from five continents. Also, the challenges and problems of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers, how to deal with them, and the heavy duties of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly were discussed in this session.”

Regarding the duties of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers in the present age, he expressed, “We are facing a changing situation in the world and in the region. Therefore, the regional and global conditions require that the believers, especially the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers, have more common sense, coordination, and cooperation with each other, and work in a network.”

“During the last 30 years (since its inception), the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly has made many efforts to create unity and harmony among the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers in various countries, but we still have a long way to go,” said the member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly pointing out the activities and blessings of the Assembly.

“Considering the overwhelming majority of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers and the geographical and political conditions, Iran and Iraq have the greatest responsibility towards the Shiites, and the expectation from these two countries is more than other countries. Therefore, there is a need for more such consulting and coordination among the elites of Iran and Iraq,” he said on the mission of the elites of Iran and Iraq.

“The objectives of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly should be pursued based on a specific roadmap,” Mohammadi Araqi continued, “Today, the new generation, young people and adolescents are under danger and threats. Therefore, all the participants in the session agree that reaching the objectives with a new roadmap is necessary, and I hope the recent session is a good step to achieve this goal.”

Regarding the transformational approaches of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the new phase, he stated, “Ayatollah Ramazani has initiated new approaches to create a favorable change in the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly. Transformation must be appropriate to new conditions and needs, and it can successfully reach us to the objectives if we have a precise analysis of the region, the world, and the current capacities of Shiite societies and prepare the necessary conditions for transformation.”

Good steps have been taken in the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly to achieve the objectives. Considering the rapid changes in the region and the world, the activities of the Assembly should be updated accordingly. One of the objectives of this session is to design and implement up-to-date and effective programs in different parts of the world based on the priorities and conditions of the time, in consultation with the members of the Supreme Council,” added the member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly. /345/
