Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “At one time Iran was marginalized in the world. But thanks to the blessing of the Islamic Revolution Iran became outstanding in history.”

ABWA Official Website – At the beginning of his Kharij Fiqh class, on the occasion of the ten days of Fajr and the anniversary of the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly mentioned some points.

Referring to the evolution in Islamic discourse, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “Islamic Revolution has three pillars of Islam, leadership, and people. It is of great importance that today’s human society experiences a government in a part of the world that implements Islam’s social dimensions. Implementing Islam in the true sense of the word is impossible without a government, especially in the social rules of Islam. Without a government, only individual orders of Islam can be implemented. People are looking to see the implementation of social justice, spirituality, and security, and not to be under the oppression system.”

“Global arrogance seeks to control and colonize nations’ thoughts, morals, and behavior through various means such as the defense of human rights. Global arrogance seeks colonial exploitation of people and governments. In such a situation, a revolution was formed based on beliefs, and Imam Khomeini (r.a.) called the people to realize Islamic ideals. In this regard, Martyr Motahari said, “When I visited Imam Khomeini in Neauphle-le-Château, I found him believing in four things: his Lord, his goal, his path, and his nation.” This means that the late Imam knew God, his goal, and his path, and he believed that people would rise according to the ideals and values they believe in,” he added.

About the values of the Islamic Revolution, the professor o higher levels of the seminary stated, “One of the important teachings of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) was that in Islamic governance, some people should have the will to serve people as servants, and in the words of Martyr Beheshti, they should be “enamored of servicing (people), not thirsty for power.” The position should be presented as a trust, and this is a new perspective and atmosphere based on the demand for change presented by the Revolution in the human system. Another objective of this system is the fight against “Machiavellian” thought. The late Imam (r.a.) and Supreme Leader have always emphasized that it is not acceptable to desire to reach positions to achieve (personal) benefits.”

“After the industrial revolution, the West colonized and exploited many countries. Iran also was not exempted from their greed and suffered a lot of damage. In this regard, the late Imam (r.a.) clearly stated, “Your honor and dignity must be revived;” the thing that was lost in this era, and the late Imam presented it to humanity. The Islamic Revolution of Iran was a hope for the freedom seekers of the world, which promised a new and spiritual life. To achieve this goal, he brought people with him and changed their beliefs. Because if people are not present in the scene, the ideals will not be realized objectively. Therefore, the young generation, fervently and passionately, with knowledge and intelligence was brought to the scene by Imam (r.a.),” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.

“Sworn enemies have always tried to inflict their damages,” he added, “Therefore, the Revolution went through various problems and hardships. For instance, they once tried to destabilize the system. At another time, they doubted the efficacy of Islam in governance, and at other times, they were complaining about the lack of progress in the country. Nevertheless, to be fair, the Revolution has made important achievements. For instance, in the scientific fields, we are now among the top five countries in the world in some fields of study.”

Regarding the achievements of the Islamic Revolution, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “At one time (during the Shah era) Iran was marginalized in the world. But thanks to the blessing of the Islamic Revolution Iran became outstanding in history. Also, before the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Shiites in Beirut were among the poorest classes. But today the Shiites of Lebanon have gained respect. These achievements must be preserved. The Islamic Revolution also had political achievements. Once, two blocs were facing each other in the world, and no one could stand against them. One of these blocs went to the dustbin of history due to its wrong approach and for about seventy years banned people from having a religion, arguing religion is the opium of society!”

“During my recent visit to Georgia and meeting with the Orthodox archbishop, he said, “You did not experience the bitter communist era. All mosques were turned into warehouses and Muslims were not allowed to travel to Mecca. During the month of Muharram, to be able to mourn (for Imam Hussain (a.s.)), the Shiites used to mourn around a corpse to be safe from the harassment (of the government agents). In this way, they tried to preserve the values.” Religion came and entrusted to us under these conditions,” Ayatollah Ramazani continued.

“The enemy has always tried to destroy this Revolution, which was able to change the equations of the region. Seminarians should pay attention to this issue. We must prevent the decline of this hope (that was created by the Islamic Revolution) in the world. Because the libertarians of the world are still attached to these ideals. Therefore, these ideals must be preserved and strengthened. In this regard, the elites should consult in making decisions, and they should not withdraw to do this task. History will judge every one of us,” he stated.

“Authorities should be concerned people and use their positions in institutions or ministries properly,” Ayatollah Ramazani added, “We must be open to criticism. Because the religious system is based on this fact. In this regard, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution stated, “We are progressive in many fields. But in the field of social justice, we must apologize to the people.” We should learn from this saying. We had some wrong policies, such as population control or avoiding privatizing companies, which led to a lot of damage in the country. A government can’t be in charge of everything. But it must monitor and control. Today, we need pathology in various matters, according to global standards.”

“People paid for the Revolution, so they should be provided with services with no expectation. People participate in marches and believe in the principle of the system, Revolution, and Leadership; however, they have criticisms. People's livelihood is important. The weak sections of society should not be pressured. In this regard, the late Imam (r.a.) stated, “This Revolution is the Revolution of the barefoot (poor) people.” Therefore, we must define at least the minimum welfare for society. We should also go to the elites and with their help, make policies according to the current conditions. We all must listen to the Leader’s order. In his recent meeting with entrepreneurs, while expressing his gratitude and appreciation for the current government’s efforts, he mentioned crucial points, such as avoiding (political) orientation, reducing inflation and unemployment rates, and observing justice; issues that are considered social spheres of Islam,” he stated.

At the end of his speech, the professor o higher levels of the seminary stated, “Unfortunately, the enemies try to ignore all the achievements of the Islamic Revolution, and Western news and media outlets are in tune with them. Therefore, we must artistically propagate these achievements, using art and media, and this is the duty of all of us. These days are very important in our history. To such an extent that martyr Motahari interpreted the return of Imam Khomeini (r.a.) from France as the rising of the sun from the west. This shows the importance of this event.” /345/
