The final statement of the 192nd session of the ABWA’s Supreme Council

With a statement, the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly concluded its 192nd session in Baghdad, Iraq.

ABWA Official Website – In the second half of the holy month of Shaban and before the holy month of Ramadan, the 192nd session of the extended Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was held in Baghdad, Iraq, hosted by Hojat al-Islam Sayed Ammar al-Hakim, a member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

At the end of this session, the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly issued a statement regarding its 192nd extended session held in Iraq. In this statement, the report of the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly about the achievements of the Assembly was presented, and the exchange of opinions of the Supreme Council of the Assembly regarding the development plans of the Assembly was mentioned.

In its statement, the Council announced the words of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in the meeting with the members of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly as a strategy for the policies and programs of the Assembly and supported his remarks regarding the disseminating of Islamic teachings and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school based on the requirements of the contemporary world, and emphasized the necessity of developing a long-term visionary development document for the Assembly, and implementing all the decisions made based on the objectives outlined by the Supreme Leader of the Revolution.

Also, the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly denounced the evil actions, including the burning of the Holy Quran and the publication of offensive cartoons, which some Western governments have recently committed with the aim of insulting the sacred, and emphasized the need to criminalize sacrilege of all divine religions and prophets.

In their statement, the members of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly honored the successes achieved in confronting global arrogance and Zionism, and called on the ulama, elites, and intellectuals of the Islamic world to adopt the necessary positions and strategies and take proper measures in response to the efforts of the enemies of Islam to spread Islamophobia, Shiaphobia, and discord among Muslims and the process of normalizing relations with the usurping regime of Al-Quds and the sinister project called Abraham Accords.

The members of the Council also expressed their deep concern about the disastrous situation of Muslims and followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) in some countries of the world and emphasized the need to end the crisis and improve the situation of Muslims, especially in India, Myanmar, Pakistan, Kashmir, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Yemen, Azerbaijan, and Nigeria.

In this statement, the members of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly welcomed the efforts to achieve security in Iraq and expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the armed forces and Al-Hashd al-Shaabi, as well as the Mujahideen and resisters of the children of this nation, and welcomed Iraq’s return to its historical role in the region and the country’s efforts to bring regional governments closer together, including the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia.

They also expressed their gratitude to the generous people of Iraq for their services in defending Islam and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, and pilgrims of the Holy Shrines, especially during the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (a.s.), and praised the role of brave Marjaiat, including Grand Ayatollah Sistani, and lauded him for his wise positions and his role in bringing the society and the nation to safety and peace.

In this statement, the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized the need to pay attention to the science and technology fields, as well as efforts to end illiteracy, generalizing education, strengthening academic and research work, and increasing the participation rate of Muslims and Shiites in the production process of science and technology, especially in advanced and modern scientific fields.

The participants in the session of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized the need to strengthen the Islamic media, and the need for the Shiite elites to pay attention to the media and social networks because of their impact on the Shiite, Islamic, and global public opinion, as well as action to confront the global system of arrogance in order to prevent the imposition of oppressive values, and to protect authentic Islamic symbols and values.

In the final part of their statement, the members of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly denounced the aggressive policies, cruel sanctions, and the obvious interventions of global arrogance against the Islamic Republic of Iran and praised and appreciated the Muslim nation of the country for its resistance and jihad against these threats and the victories and successes of the nation in various fields.

The English version of this statement, originally issued in Arabic, is as follows:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

الَّذِينَ يُبَلِّغُونَ رِسَالَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَخْشَوْنَهُ وَلَا يَخْشَوْنَ أَحَدًا إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ حَسِيبًا

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

“such as deliver the messages of Allah and fear Him, and fear no one except Allah, and Allah suffices as reckoner.” (Holy Quran, Surah: Al-Ahzab, Verse: 39)

With the help of God Almighty and under the grace of Imam Mahdi (a.s.), the 192nd session of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was held in the second half of the month of Shaban and before the holy month of Ramadan 1444 AH, with the generous hosting of Hojat al-Islam Sayed Ammar Hakim, the member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, who is the righteous successor of martyr Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Baqir al-Hakim, and the late Hojat al-Islam Sayed Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, both of them were the late members of the council and played outstanding roles in supporting the movement of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

The participants of this session would like to express their gratitude to Mr. Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani, the Prime Minister of Iraq, for welcoming the members of the Supreme Council, and also to Mr. Sayed Ammar al-Hakim, the nation and the government of Iraq for their kind welcome and hospitality, and ask Almighty God for success for all the authorities of this country.

The session was concluded after two days of consultation and listening to the report of the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly regarding the developments in the Islamic world, the situation of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers, the achievements of the Assembly during the past year, and the exchange of opinions between the members of the Supreme Council regarding planning for development projects and work priorities.

In the new solar year and at the end of their session, the members expressed the positions of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly as follows:

1. The members of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly honored the success of the Assembly in holding the 7th General Assembly and welcomed the words of Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in the meeting with the members of the General Assembly from different regions of the world and the Assembly officials, and supported what he stated regarding the necessity of publishing valuable Islamic teachings and AhlulBayt (a.s.) school based on the requirements of the contemporary world. They consider the Supreme Leader’s admonitions as a cultural and propagational strategy that should be implemented in all policies and programs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and a true embodiment of his constant appeal for Jihad of Enlightenment; a jihad, which is necessary for the soft war and awakening movement that the Islamic Ummah is facing.

2. The members of the Supreme Council praised the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly for presenting his views on the policies of the Assembly and its programs at the beginning of the second three-year term as Secretary General, and emphasized the necessity of compiling a long-term futuristic development document for the Assembly and implementing all the decisions made based on the objectives outlined by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

3. On the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, and considering the sanctity of the Holy Quran, and the exalted status of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and the AhlulBayt (a.s.), the members of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly denounced the evil actions, including the burning of the Holy Quran and the publication of offensive cartoons, which some Western governments have recently committed with the aim of insulting the sacred, and emphasized the need to criminalize sacrilege of all divine religions and prophets, and called for more awareness and awakening in the Islamic world and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers to defend the holy things.

4. At the beginning of the fourth decade of the cultural and missionary activities of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly at the global level, the members of the Supreme Council of the Assembly emphasized the importance of rational foundations, spiritual values, dignity, justice, resistance, awakening, and brotherhood among Muslims, as well as the support for the oppressed, and deprived nations.

5. The members of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly honored the successes achieved in confronting global arrogance and Zionism, and called on the ulama, elites, and intellectuals of the Islamic world to adopt the necessary positions and strategies and take proper measures in response to the efforts of the enemies of Islam to spread Islamophobia, Shiaphobia, and discord among Muslims and the process of normalizing relations with the usurping regime of Al-Quds and the sinister project called Abraham Accords. They emphasized the necessity of trying to unite Muslims for the realization of the Islamic Ummah, away from any ethnic and religious conflict, to stand against global arrogance, oppression, and deprivation, as well as extinguishing the fire of the Zionist-American sedition, defending the Palestinian Cause as the central issue of the Islam, the complete liberation of the Palestinian land, and the realization of the rights of the Palestinian nation, and the protection of the holy places in the land of Al-Aqsa and Ascension.

6. The members of the Council also expressed their deep concern about the disastrous situation of Muslims and followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) in some countries of the world and emphasized the need to end the crisis and improve the situation of Muslims, especially in India, Myanmar, Pakistan, Kashmir, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Yemen, Azerbaijan, and Nigeria. They called on human rights institutions and international organizations to prevent the violation of citizens’ rights and to achieve development and fight against illiteracy, poverty, and discrimination in these countries.

7. The members of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly welcomed the efforts to achieve security in Iraq and asked God to help the government and nation of this Muslim Country to deracinate the terrorism, and lead the country toward progress and development, and expressed their appreciation and gratitude to all those who try to realize the security and peace in Iraq, including the armed forces and ah-Hashd al-Shabi as well as the Mujahideen and resisters of the children of this nation, and welcomed Iraq’s return to its historical role in the region and the country’s efforts to bring regional governments closer together, including the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia.

They also expressed their gratitude to the generous people of Iraq for their services in defending Islam and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, and pilgrims of the Holy Shrines, especially during the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (a.s.), and praised the role of brave Marjaiat, including Grand Ayatollah Sistani, and lauded him for his wise positions and his role in bringing the society and the nation to safety and peace.

8. The participants in the session called on all cultural, scientific and preaching centers and institutions in the Islamic world to pay attention to the intellectual issues that the children of the Ummah are suffering from, and to reconsider the methods of education and awareness, and research based on the words of the AhlulBayt (a.s.), and implemented the necessary measures in order to promote religious awareness among Muslims and the followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and their enthusiasts and to achieve this goal, use all the means and new communication technologies and virtual space.

9. The Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized the need to pay attention to the science and technology fields, as well as efforts to end illiteracy, generalizing education, strengthening academic and research work, and increasing the participation rate of Muslims and Shiites in the production process of science and technology, especially in advanced and modern scientific fields under the framework of the roadmap for realizing a better future and justly and extended cooperation of Muslims and AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers in the contemporary world, and strengthening the movement of the Ummah towards the realization of the modern Islamic civilization.

10. The Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly called the secretariat of the Assembly and all related departments to cultural and social work to pay more attention to women, youth, and children. Because they believe in the realization of dignity, culture, and life of faith for contemporary man, and they need to strengthen their abilities to play a role in building the future.

11. The participants in the session of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized the need to strengthen the Islamic media, and the need for the Shiite elites to pay attention to the media and social networks because of their impact on the Shiite, Islamic, and global public opinion, as well as action to confront the global system of arrogance in order to prevent the imposition of oppressive values, and to protect authentic Islamic symbols and values.

12. The participants expressed their deep impression about the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria, and expressed their condolences to the nations of these two countries, and announced the readiness of all the AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers to continue the relief operation and reconstruction of the earthquake affected areas. They also emphasized the need for action to form a global campaign to lift the unjust sanctions imposed on the affected people of Syria.

13. The members of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly denounced the aggressive policies, cruel sanctions, and the obvious interventions of global arrogance against the Islamic Republic of Iran and praised and appreciated the Muslim nation of the country for its resistance and jihad against these threats and the victories and successes of the nation in various fields.

وَقُلِ اعْمَلُوا فَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ

“And say, ‘Go on working: Allah will see your conduct, and His Apostle and the faithful [as well]”, (Holy Quran, Surah: At-Tawbah, Verse: 105)
