In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

“Whenever an Alem passes away, there will be an irreparable breach in Islam.” Imam Ali (a.s.)

Divine ascension and the sad and irreparable departure of the eminent scholar, educated thinker, prominent litterateur, theologist sage, philosopher and mystic, honorable Allameh Professor Mohammad Reza Hakimi, caused regret and impression on us and the scientific community of the country and its lovers, students and family and relatives.

This pious and ascetic scholar and thinker of the school of the Infallible AhlulBayt (a.s.), spent his blessed life explaining and introducing Islamic and religious knowledge.

By writing more than one hundred titles of valuable books and scientific-research articles in the field of Quranic teachings and the enlightening School of Islamic Studies – including the valuable encyclopedias are “Al-Hayat”, “Quranic Community Building”, “Red Wisdom”, “Imam in the Objectivity of Society”, “Maghrib Sun”, “Ashura”, “Tafsir Aftab”, etc. –, he left modern, precious and lasting services and valuable heritage services for the Islamic society, as well as scientific and theological centers and lovers and followers of the path of truth.

The late Professor Allameh Hakimi was one of the humble and sincere followers and lovers of Imam Khomeini (r.h.) and the Islamic Movement, and he always unwaveringly defended the anti-arrogance and anti-tyranny movements of the Imam of the Ummah, and his novel ideas derived from Imam Khomeini’s enlightened thought. The ascetic life of this pious mystic, the purity of his soul, and his spiritual struggles – which was taken from the mystical teachings of his great teacher, the divine mystic, the late Grand Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Mojtaba Qazvini (r.a.) and other mystics of the school of Intuition – had made this great scholar one of the pioneers of mysticism and the role model of the followers of truth, knowledge and conduct.

I offer my condolences for the great and sad loss of this grand scholar of the Islamic studies to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, all people of Iran, honorable family, especially his sage and scholar brother Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Mohammad Hakimi, his students and disciples.

I ask from God the Almighty for the exaltation, forgiveness and reunion with Divine Prophets and Infallible AhlulBayt (a.s.), for the deceased, and for all of his family members and relatives, I ask for great patience.

“Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him do we indeed return” (Holy Quran 2:156)
