The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Today, we must all serve the AhlulBayt (a.s.). It is an honor for us to promote the culture of the AhlulBayt (a.s.).”

Hojat al-Islam Dr. Nabil Halbavi, the Syrian member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, met with Ayatollah Reza Ramazani in the meeting hall of the Assembly building in Qom.

In this meeting, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “We appreciate the membership of Hojat al-Islam Nabil Halabavi in the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly. Syria is important to us, and a lot of work needs to be done in the cultural fields in this country. We need to pay attention to Syria in every way.”

The world is thirsty for the culture of the AhlulBayt (a.s.)

The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “Lady Ruqayyah (a.s.) Educational Center in Syria is a scientific center with successful students. In the AhlulBayt (a.s.) University, in addition to humanities disciplines such as management and law, disciplines such as architectural engineering and software engineering are also taught, which can be a turning point in the bilateral cooperation between the two scientific centers.”

“Today, we must all serve the AhlulBayt (a.s.). It is an honor for us to promote the culture of the AhlulBayt (a.s.). Today is the best time for the world to receive this culture, because the world is thirsty for the culture of the AhlulBayt (a.s.),” stated Ayatollah Ramazani, referring to the need to pay attention to the culture of the AhlulBayt (a.s.).

The spirituality of Shiite seminaries is not in Christianity or the church

A Christian scholar at the Sorbonne University said in a session on “Dialogue between Islam and Christianity” that today Shiites can answer all their questions with dynamic ijtihad. Christian scholars acknowledge that they are incapable of answering some questions. Christians do not have a definite answer in some issues such as cloning, artificial insemination, etc. It is not unlikely that they even imitate their beliefs,” he added.

“The spirituality found in Shiite seminaries does not exist in Christianity and the Church. Those who want to meet the pope have to go through a lot of rituals so that they may be influenced by the pope. But when the Pope visited the Grand Ayatollah Sistani, we saw how he was impressed by this great Alem and sat before him. When the last Soviet foreign minister, Eduard Shevardnadze, came to visit Imam Khomeini (r.a.), as a divine leader, and answer his letter to Gorbachev, Imam did not even wear his turban to show that he was not influenced by political officials,” he mentioned.

The role of Sayed Mohsen Amin in resisting the French colonial in Syria

At the beginning of the meeting, referring to the services of Sayed Mohsen Amin to the Shiites in Syria, Hojat al-Islam Dr. Nabil Halbavi stated, “During his stay in Syria, Sayed Mohsen Amin was able to overcome all challenges. In the Syrian society at that time, where no one could hold a mourning ceremony, he made the Sunni scholars attend the Shiite ceremonies in the country. Sayed Mohsen Amin also paid attention to the formation of charitable and cultural communities in Syria.”

“Sayed Mohsen Amin was involved in the resistance against French colonization in Syria, and when he died, a funeral was held for him, which was unique in Syria. The funeral of Sayed Mohsen Amin was a funeral that was both official and popular. After the demise of Sayed Mohsen Amin, other Shiite scholars appeared in Syria. But they did not have the power of Sayed Mohsen Amin. Until the Islamic Revolution won in Iran,” he continued.

The influence of the Islamic Revolution on the Shiites of Syria

“Before the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Syrian Shiite youth followed the news of the Revolution and read the books of Imam Khomeini, until the victory of the revolution, and the same young people chose Imam Khomeini as a source of emulation. Since then, a community has emerged among the Syrian Shiites called the “Followers of Imam Khomeini”, which still exists today. They run centers such as Mohseniyeh and the Assembly of Lady Ruqayyah (a.s.). Sayed Abdullah Nezam was the first Syrian Shiite leader to go to Qom to study religious sciences after the Islamic Revolution, and I came to Iran after him,” added the Syrian member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“The situation of the Syrian Shiites improved scientifically after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, and groups of them came to Iran to acquire knowledge and return to Syria after graduation. There were also doctors among them. Until the insane war was imposed on Syria. At the beginning of the war, the Syrian capital, Damascus, was under siege on all sides. Bad things would have happened if the terrorists had entered this city. But Bashar al-Assad bravely resisted. The Syrian army also resisted. The support of Iran and Hezbollah played a huge role in the Syrian resistance. The arrogant front came to the war in Syria from all over the world with the funding of Saudi Arabia and Qatar,” Halbavi said, referring to the impact of the Islamic Revolution on the Syrian Shiites.

“The war is over in Syria, but it has created problems that still remain. Some areas of Syria are currently occupied, and Turkish troops are present in some of these occupied areas. Syrian oil fields are also occupied by the Americans. The Israelis are also constantly attacking Syria. There is also no way to revitalize Syrian industry, agriculture, and the economy. This has caused living problems for the Syrian people. There is now security in Syria, but the Syrians are facing high prices,” he continued.

Cultural and religious activities are carried out continuously in Syria

“Cultural and religious activities are carried out continuously in Syria, and the related centers continue their activities in this field. It had a good start at Lady Ruqayyah (a.s.) Educational Center. There were media, education, philosophy, economics, law, and Sharia disciplines in the center. But seculars pressured the center to teach only Sharia to prevent the success of the Lady Ruqayyah (a.s.) Center. The number of students in this center was hundreds, but now it is a maximum of ninety students. There were master’s and doctoral degrees in Lady Ruqayyah (a.s.) Educational Center. We will continue to communicate with AhlulBayt (a.s.) University to provide opportunities for Syrian students to continue their education in Iran,” added the Syrian member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

AhlulBayt (a.s.) is in the conscience of all Syrians, and occasions related to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) are commemorated in Syria, and women are more present in these ceremonies than men,” Halbavi stated, referring to the love of the Syrian people to the AhlulBayt (a.s.).

For the future of the world, the Shiites have the project of the Mahdavi government

“Today, the Shiites have overtaken the Sunnis in the fight against global arrogance and introduced role models such as Velayat-e-Faqih. Scholars such as Martyr Motahhari and Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi are unique in the world, and they are an honor for the Islamic world. Shiites have the project of the Mahdavi government led by Imam Mahdi (a.s.) for the future of the world, an issue that does not exist in other religions and sects,” he continued.

“Ayatollah Ramazani’s visit to Syria had a good effect on this country, and we are waiting for his second visit,” concluded the Syrian member of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
